So, to ‘Fat Freeze’ or not?
Is a question I am asked regularly and as a therapist (and an all-out beauty boffin!) Cryotherapy (fat freezing/cool sculpting) has taken the beauty industry by storm, and for good reason as it seems almost too good to be true that you can ‘chill’ (sorry, couldn’t resist) out for a couple of hours et voila! 3 months later your waistline is slimmer without you even setting foot in a gym!
All of this is fantastic, but, what if there was an alternative which you could squeeze in during your lunch-hour? a treatment that is non-invasive, has absolutely no downtime, is totally painless, tones, lifts and firms the skin, treats stretch marks, scars and cellulite and has instant results? This is where Ultrasound Cavitation and Radio Frequency (UCRF) is second to none.
Cryotherapy which is also known as cool sculpting, aqualyx or cullufix freezes and kills fat cells in a treatment site, dead fat cells are then broken down and flushed through the liver.
Fat freezing is also NOT for wimps! A possible side effect is paradoxical adipose hyperplasia at the treatment site. This is when the fat cells grow larger rather than smaller and occur mainly in men. You may also experience skin sensitivities and swelling caused by exposure to cold temperatures and post-treatment pain that typically lasts between 3 to 11 days.
Does ‘fat freezing’ treat and eliminate cellulite? It does not.
Does UCRF treat and eliminate cellulite? YESSA!
Put simply, would I choose fat freezing? costing around £600 per area treated, that can take up to 3 months to see a difference with a “top up” potentially costing another £600 or would I choose UCRF ultrasound cavitation and radio frequency? for a course of 6 treatments, with guaranteed instant inch loss and purse-friendly, with nothing to lose but inches! mmm it’s a no-brainer!
So, in conclusion, whatever the event, OTC’s Non-Surgical Liposuction (UCRF) treatment ensures all eyes will be on you!
